Entry Procedures and Fees

ENTRY AND START PROCEDURES

  1. Obtain Conwy Ascent details and entry cards from the Race Organiser or print yourself an entry card (You will need Acrobat Reader to view and print it. You can download a free copy direct from www.Adobe.com.) Fill in the Conwy Ascent entry card. Send card and fee to the Race Organiser (including a copy of your BC/CW/SCA/CANI card to avoid having to pay for a day ticket)
    Entries to be received by the Friday 8 days before the race.

  2. Arrive and check in in time for the muster and briefing, after organising your transport from Dolgarrog for the end of the race.

ENTRY FEES

£13.00 per seat for seniors, £11.00 for juniors (U18 on 1 Jan).

Day Tickets
With the changes in membership structure of the NGBs the insurance cover has changed. This means that club membership, associate membership, etc. no longer provides insurance. Unless you are a 'Full' member i.e. the category required to compete in BC events or to coach you will need to buy a day ticket. Unfortunately under the new membership/insurance structure this also includes paddlers doing the tour.

Tour Any paddler who is not a 'COMPREHENSIVE', 'ON THE WATER', 'FULL', or equivalent category member of CW, BC, SCA, etc. will need to buy a Day Ticket (£5) This is for insurance purposes so to avoid having to pay for a day ticket please provide a membership card.
Race
As per section 12 of the marathon racing rules. Any paddler who is not a 'COMPREHENSIVE', 'ON THE WATER', 'FULL' or equivalent category, member of CW, BC, SCA, etc. will need to buy a Day Ticket (£5).
NO CARD - NO DISCOUNT !

Late entries will be accepted after the Friday 8 days before the race, up to 30 min before respective start times on the Conwy Ascent day.
An additional late entry charge of £2 per seat will apply.

Cheques or postal orders to be made payable to DYFFRYN CONWY PADDLERS. Post dated cheques will not be accepted.
Or make an online payment to:

Use the same name as on your entry form for reference.


Please enclose a SAE or provide an email address if you require confirmation of entry.

RETIREMENTS
All entrants retiring from the event MUST report their name and event number to either a boat marshal or the control tent at the finish at Dolgarrog. This responsibility rests with the group leaders where organised groups are concerned.
